New Prints! March 22, 2016 16:44
I've been working away on a lot of things in the background for the past few weeks. My favourite of these has been my new prints, "Winter" and "Winter Frost". My work has involved a lot a geometrics recently, so I wanted something a little more illustrative. These prints began with a series of drawings of shapes; the inspiration coming from mid century poster art, the weaves of Tadek Beutlich, work that I have already produced, and a notion of what I'd like to put up on my wall. I then began the process of scaling, arranging and editing the selection of drawings I had made to produce the piece you see here.
These are the largest giclee prints I produce - A2 in size, which is new to me and feels nicely substantial. I use the same 100% cotton archival fine art paper as I do for all my prints - the quality is beautiful. Both these prints are available in my NotOnTheHighStreet and Etsy stores. Enjoy!

So the Christmas Fair season is upon us, and I'm going to be taking part in three of the best that Nottingham has to offer! I'm really looking forward to them - the festive atmosphere, the opportunity for meeting so many people, and to a bit of christmas shopping myself!
I'll be selling my prints and fabric accessories, with new designs and products added to my range. Alongside these I will also be selling "show specials" such as greeting cards and fabrics that are only available at these events.
I'll be showing at;
Sherwood Christmas Craft and Food Fair
Saturday 14th November

at The Harley Gallery

So I finally, FINALLY have a website of my own! It's been a long time coming, and I'll be the first to admit that it's a pretty simple one. Partly by necessity, partly by choice. I'm not a technically-blessed individual, so even this is a pretty major triumph for me.
I love to make art. More than anything I enjoy getting my pencils and paints out and sitting quietly at my desk producing new work.
However, I'm very excited by my new site so that I can show some of the things I have been working on lately, and so that people can contact me. I may write the occasional blog post too.
Thanks for visiting, and I hope you like what you see!
